Logging in Ruby, Washington

1922 – The move to Ruby, Washington

Ruby is north of Spokane about 40 miles from the Canadian border and 10 miles west of the Idaho border. Edward decided to drive to Ruby, and Sophie and Ansgar joined him for the long trip. We think they made the trip in the fall.

The wedding was in Tacoma, Washington, in the home of John and Gudrun (Gulleson) Lien. Edward Gulleson attended and also probably Nelma, who stayed on with the Liens. Edward returned to the logging camp in Ruby.
